April 7-8, 2022

Dear Colleagues,

It is our pleasure to invite you to attend the hybrid conference Revisional Bariatric Surgery - The Multidisciplinary Approach that will be held over two days, April 7-8, 2022 both in the sunny State of Israel, and online. As we are sure you are well aware, alongside the obesity pandemic and the global rise in bariatric procedures, we are also witnessing a steady rise in the number of revisions and conversions of these surgeries. These are due to weight regain, recurrence or worsening of metabolic disorders and/or acute and chronic complications. Bariatric centers worldwide are increasingly called upon to deal with these complex cases, requiring a deep understanding of this issue from all aspects – medical, nutritional and psychological.

The conference target audience comprises bariatric surgeons, surgical residents, dietitians and mental health professionals with an interest in this growing field. Distinguished international speakers have confirmed their attendance –

Prof. Antonio Torres from Madrid & Prof. Gerhard Prager from Vienna, President Elect of IFSO.

This event will be endorsed by the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders (IFSO), The Israeli Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ISMBS), The Israeli Dietitian Society (ATID) and the Israeli Psychological Association. It will be broadcasted on the conference website, to be viewed both locally and internationally.

The conference will consist of one day of oral presentations by local and international opinion-leaders of the three disciplines, discussing a wide range of related topics. On the second day we will host a moderated live as well as a pre-recorded revisional surgery case.

A wide range of related topics will be presented, discussed and debated.  The range and scope of the program are a must for all clinicians caring for patients requiring revisional bariatric surgery.

The program includes didactic state-of-the-art presentations, panel discussions, and presentation of the revisional procedures by the faculty personnel who evaluated and prepared the patients for procedure.

13 continued medical education (CME) credits will be awarded to the attendees by the Ariel University and the Sheba Educational Authority.

Please join us for this interesting and important conference.

Sincerely,
